Tiger Trap

Tiger Trap Spell5

Conjuration Hazard

Traditions arcane, primal

Cast [two-actions] focus, somatic, verbal

Range 120 feet; Area 20-foot cube

Duration 1 hour

You create a pocket dimension of a covered pit in the ground.

You use a tiger claw and a miniature shovel worth at least 10 gp as foci for the spell. Inside the pit you summon a tiger, which attacks any creature entering the pit. If a creature enters the spell’s area, the cover of the pit disappears, and anything on top of the cover drops into the pit. After one round the cover reappears trapping anyone inside. The cover of the pit has AC 5, Hardness 8, and 10 Hit Points. The spell persists for its duration even if the tiger inside is killed or the cover of the pit is destroyed.

The tiger trap counts as a magical trap, using your spell DC for both the Perception check to notice it and the Thievery check to disable it; both checks require the creature attempting them to be trained in order to succeed.

Heightened (7th) The duration increases to 8 hours.
