You sense the balance of alignment forces, but you can’t determine the exact alignment of specific creatures, objects, or effects. Your focus is a scroll of sutras devoted to law, chaos, evil, and good, worth at least 5 gp. You can determine whether the most prevalent alignment(s) in a space equal to a 100-foot cube that has at least 10 creatures in the area. Alternatively, you can target a single creature or object in range, allowing you to gain a general sense of that creature’s faithfulness to its own alignment or ideals. This allows you to determine whether the creature is affected by a spell or effect with the emotion or mental trait, but not the exact spell or effect. After making this determination, you gain a +1 status bonus to attempts to counteract a spell or effect with the emotion or mental trait affecting the creature. This bonus lasts for 1 hour.
