Range 60 feet; Targets 1 or more living creatures in a 20-foot burst

Saving Throw Fortitude


You reach out with grasping tendrils of necrotic energy that plunge into the chest of living creatures you designate and rip their beating hearts out of their chests. You can affect creatures with a total number of levels equal to your level. Creatures with the lowest level are affected first. Each target must attempt a Fortitude save, and the target’s level is subtracted from the total. If a target’s level exceeds the remaining levels you can affect, the result of its saving throw is one step better. If a creature does not have a heart, or if it’s level is greater than 5, it is unaffected by the spell.


Critical Success The target is unaffected.

Success The target is stunned 1.

Failure The target drops to 0 Hit Points and becomes dying 1, or increases its dying condition by 1 if it’s already dying.

Critical Failure The target dies instantly Heightened (6th): The status penalty increases to -2.
