Hail of Needles

Hail of Needles Spell1

Conjuration Metal

Traditions arcane

Cast [three-actions] material, somatic, verbal

Range 30 feet

You create a hail of 3 needles that you can fire at any number of targets within range. You make a separate spell attack for each target (but you can throw multiple needles at a single target). If you hit, each needle deals 1d4 piercing damage plus 1 persistent bleed. A creature wearing heavy armor or one with equivalently tough hide (at the GM’s discretion) is immune to the persistent bleed.

Heightened (2nd) You can fire a total of 5 needles.

Heightened (3rd) You can fire a total of 7 needles.

Heightened (4th) You can fire a total of 10 needles.

Heightened (5th) You can fire a total of 15 needles, and each needle inflicts 1d6 poison damage. The target must attempt a Fortitude save. On a failure, the target becomes your choice of clumsy 1, drained 1, or enfeebled 1 (the value increases to 2 on a critical failure). The choice applies to all needles created by the spell.
