Theian Gladiator

Entertainment comes in many forms. Some people like music, food, comedy, or even magic. But there are some that like to watch violence.

Enter the gladiator. Fighting for survival in a dangerous arena with monsters and enemies left and right is just another day in the life of the gladiator. The gladiator is a performer, yes, but a performer of exhilarating, jaw dropping, heart stopping combat. Every second, keeping the crowd roaring and his enemies’ blades from killing him.

Key Ability

Charisma

Hit Points

10 plus your Constitution Modifier. At 1st level, your class gives you an ability boost to Charisma. You increase your maximum number of HP by this number at 1st level and every level thereafter.

During Combat Encounters…

You keep your enemies on their toes for the fans watching from the safety of their homes. Utilizing artful stances and your exotic training, you can face any opponent whether you are questing or doing battle in an arena.

During Social Encounters…

Your natural charm works great with potential fans, but not everybody enjoys being in the spotlight. Stay aware of when you have your sensor on or off when generally in public.

While Exploring…

If the going gets rough, you’re there to lend a hand, a blade, or a shoulder. You can be a decent scout or lookout, and your companions can rely on you to stand tough beside them and offer aid where you are able.

In Downtime…

You keep yourself sharp training with others, performing your combat tricks and talents for gathering crowds and generally promoting yourself as a spectacle to continue watching, even after you’ve left the immediate area.

You Might…

  • Seek the adoration of your fans, the respect of your allies, or the blood of your enemies. Control over your emotions and outward persona are the key to success.
  • Proclaim your status as a gladiator loudly so that others can cheer or boo you accordingly. It’s all for the show.
  • Find yourself in need of greater and greater challenges, through which you can achieve glory and fame.

Others Probably…

  • Line up to meet you when they hear you are coming to their town. As you gain more notoriety in the world, so too do you get less time to yourself.
  • Challenge you openly when drunk, thinking they can be the one who took you down and earn instant popularity.
  • Look to you as a mentor on their own quest to become Theian gladiators. If they can learn from you, they can eventually surpass you, becoming a great ally or rival.

Ancestry and Background

In addition to the abilities provided by your class at 1st level, you have the benefits of your selected ancestry and background.

Initial Proficiencies

At 1st level, you gain a number of proficiencies that represent your basic training. These proficiencies are noted at the start of this class.

Entertainer

You gain the Entertain action, which lets you begin your combat performance.

Entertain [one-action]

Gladiator

You activate your magical sensor, which puts you in full view of all who might be watching. This lasts until you use another action to deactivate the sensor, or until you rest. While your sensor is active:

  • You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to initiative rolls, attack rolls, damage, and Performance checks.
  • You take a –1 circumstance penalty to Diplomacy and Stealth checks.
  • You can’t use actions with the concentrate trait unless they also have the entertain or stance trait. You can Seek while entertaining.

After you deactivate your sensor, you lose any ongoing benefits granted by Entertain and your gladiator role, and you can’t Entertain again for 1 minute while the sensor recharges.

Artful Lessons

At 1st level, and every odd-numbered level thereafter, you gain a skill feat. This feat must be chosen from the following list, and you must meet any prerequisites. If appropriate to your training as a Theian gladiator, the GM may add additional feats to this list.

Any Acrobatics, Athletics, Intimidation, or Performance feat; Arcane Sense, Battle Medicien, Bonded Animal, Connections, Experienced Professional, Foil Senses, Group Impression, Legendary Professional, Multilingual, Quick Disguise, Sign Language, Snare Crafting, Terrain Expertise, Train Animal.

Gladiator Feats

At 1st level and every even-numbered level, you gain a Theian gladiator class feat.

Gladiator Role

You have a role to play when entertaining your fans—it’s important that you keep up appearances while your sensor is engaged. Your gladiator role gives you an ability, requires you to avoid certain behaviors, grants you increased benefits at higher levels, and allows you to select feats tied to your role.

Skill Feats 2nd

At 2nd level and every 2 levels thereafter, you gain a skill feat. You must be trained or better in the corresponding skill to select a skill feat.

Alertness 3rd

You remain alert to threats around you. Your proficiency rank for Perception increases to expert.

General Feats 3rd

At 3rd level and every 4 levels thereafter, you gain a general feat.

Skill Increases 3rd

At 3rd level and every 2 levels thereafter, you gain a skill increase. You can use this increase either to increase your proficiency rank to trained in one skill you’re untrained in, or to increase your proficiency rank in one skill in which you’re already trained to expert.

At 7th level, you can use skill increases to increase your proficiency rank to master in a skill in which you’re already an expert, and at 15th level, you can use them to increase your proficiency rank to legendary in a skill in which you’re already a master.

Iron Will 4th

Your training has hardened your resolve. Your proficiency rank for Will saves increases to expert.

Ability Boosts 5th

At 5th level and every 5 levels thereafter, you boost four different ability scores. You can use these ability boosts to increase your ability scores above 18. Boosting an ability score increases it by 1 if it’s already 18 or above, or by 2 if it starts out below 18.

Ancestry Feats 5th

In addition to the ancestry feat you started with, you gain an ancestry feat at 5th level and every 4 levels thereafter. The list of ancestry feats available to you can be found in your ancestry’s entry.

Weapon Expertise 5th

You’ve dedicated yourself to learning the intricacies of your weapons. Your proficiency ranks for all simple weapons, martial weapons, unarmed attacks, and one advanced weapon with which you are trained increase to expert.

Weapon Specialization 7th

Your fans’ cheering always raises your spirits and helps you hit harder. You deal an additional 2 damage with weapons and unarmed attacks in which you have expert proficiency. This damage increases to 3 if you’re a master, and 4 if you’re legendary. You gain your gladiator role’s specialization ability.

Artful Stance 9th

Your entertainment value skyrockets as you know just the right pose to strike to get your fans excited. Your proficiency rank for your Theian gladiator class DC increases to expert. You gain the artful stance free action.

Artful Stance [free-action]

Gladiator

Trigger You use the entertain action on your turn.

Use an action that has the stance trait. Alternatively, you can increase the actions of the triggering Entertain to 2 to instead use a 2-action activity with the open or flourish trait.

Rugged Renewal 9th

You draw on inspiration from your fans as they cheer you on through your sensor. You gain the Rugged Renewal reaction.

Rugged Renewal [reaction]

Entertain Gladiator

Frequency once per minute

Trigger You are reduced to less than half your maximum Hit Points while Entertaining.

You gain temporary Hit Points equal to half your level for 1 minute. If you rest for 10 minutes and use this at the end, you recover that many Hit Points instead.

Vigilant Senses 11th

Through your adventures, you’ve developed keen awareness and attention to detail. Your proficiency rank for Perception increases to master.

Medium Armor Expertise 13th

You’ve learned to defend yourself better against attacks. Your proficiency ranks for light armor, medium armor, and unarmored defense increase to expert.

Greater Weapon Specialization 15th

The weapons you’ve mastered become truly fearsome in your hands. Your damage from weapon specialization increases to 4 with weapons and unarmed attacks in which you’re an expert, 6 if you’re a master, and 8 if you’re legendary. You gain a greater benefit from your gladiator role’s specialization ability.

Quick Entertainer 17th

Your sensor has been updated to recharge more quickly, and is soon ready to begin entertaining once more. After you spend a full turn without entertaining, you can Entertain again without needing to wait 1 minute.

Armored Master 19th

Your countenance is iconic to your fans, deepening your connection to your armor. Your proficiency ranks for light armor, medium armor, and unarmored defense increase to master.

Master Gladiator 19th

Your Strikes are so devastating that you hardly care about resistance, and your gladiator abilities are unparalleled. Your proficiency rank for your Theian gladiator class DC increases to master, and you gain a final benefit from your gladiator role’s special ability.

Gladiator Roles

All Theian gladiators may share some general aspects of their training, but what sets each of them apart is how they play their role when it comes to battle. Your choice of role tells the world what to expect when they watch you fight. It gives anybody an at-a-glance idea of what you can do when facing a challenge.

Bruiser

Bruisers are hulking warriors who will use whatever they can get their hands on to defeat their opponent; even their opponent! The bruiser’s role is to hurt enemies, first and foremost, and his fans are known to love a good bloodbath.

Anathema

Allowing a creature to show greater power without at least trying to match it is anathema to your role as a bruiser.

Bruising Strikes (Role Ability)

While entertaining, you deal 1 additional damage with one and two-handed weapons and unarmed attacks. This additional damage is halved if your weapon or unarmed attack is agile.

Specialization Ability

Choose one weapon group or one advanced weapon. Your proficiency rank increases to master with that weapon or the simple and martial weapons in that group.

If you have greater weapon specialization, your Rugged Renewal grants you temporary Hit Points equal to your level instead.

If you have master gladiator, your proficiency rank increases to legendary while you are entertaining with the chosen advanced weapon or the simple and martial weapons in the chosen weapon group.

Gladiatorial Defense

You have picked up a few new tricks to protect yourself in combat. Your proficiency rank for Fortitude saving throws increases to master. When you roll a success on a Fortitude saving throw, you get a critical success instead.

Improved Gladiatorial Defense

Your time as a gladiator has given you a stalwart physiology. Your proficiency rank for Fortitude saves increases to legendary. When you roll a critical failure on a Fortitude save, you get a failure instead. When you fail a Fortitude save against an effect that deals damage, you halve the damage you take.

Dancer

Dancers move with precision across the field of battle, weaving in and out, catching their opponents off guard. A good dancer can distract and disorient his enemies, and a great dancer can keep his enemies’ attention on him while his allies get away or move in for a killing blow.

Anathema

Failing to Entertain at every reasonable opportunity (such as during combat) is anathema to your role as a dancer.

Dancing Movements (Role Ability)

While entertaining, you gain a +1 circumstance bonus to AC.

Specialization Ability

You gain the Designate Rival Theian gladiator feat.

If you have greater weapon specialization, your proficiency rank for your Theian gladiator class DC increases to master.

If you have master gladiator, your proficiency rank for your Theian gladiator class DC increases to legendary while you are entertaining.

Gladiatorial Defense

You have picked up a few new tricks to protect yourself in combat. Your proficiency rank for Reflex saving throws increases to master. When you roll a success on a Reflex saving throw, you get a critical success instead.

Improved Gladiatorial Defense

Your time as a gladiator has given you a matchless ability to elude danger. Your proficiency rank for Reflex saves increases to legendary. When you roll a critical failure on a Reflex save, you get a failure instead. When you fail a Fortitude save against an effect that deals damage, you halve the damage you take.

Watchdog

Watchdogs are the defensive gladiators who protect their allies from the threats of imposing creatures and deadly ambushes. They can follow an opponent with great accuracy even in a crowded area and ensure that creature does not steal the spotlight with fans.

Anathema

Being unwilling to protect another creature in need when your own life is not at risk is anathema to your role as a watchdog.

Attentiveness (Role Ability)

While entertaining, you gain a +1 circumstance bonus to saving throws.

Specialization Ability

Choose one armor you wear as your dedicated armor. Your proficiency rank increases to master with that armor.

If you have greater weapon specialization, your Rugged Renewal grants you temporary Hit Points equal to your level instead.

If you have master gladiator, your proficiency rank with your dedicated armor increases to legendary while you are entertaining.

Gladiatorial Defense

You have picked up a few new tricks to protect yourself in combat. Your proficiency rank for Will saving throws increases to master. When you roll a success on a Will saving throw, you get a critical success instead.

Improved Gladiatorial Defense

Your time as a gladiator has given you unbelievable mental resiliency. Your proficiency rank for Will saves increases to legendary. When you roll a critical failure on a Will save, you get a failure instead. When you fail a Fortitude save against an effect that deals damage, you halve the damage you take.

Theian Gladiator Feats

At every level that you gain a Theian gladiator feat, you can select one of the following feats. You must satisfy any prerequisites before selecting the feat.

1st Level

Beau Position [one-action] Feat 1

Gladiator Stance

While in Beau Position, you gain a +2 circumstance bonus on Perception checks to Seek and can avert your gaze as a free action when subjected to visual abilities that require you to look at a creature or object, such as a medusa’s petrifying gaze.

Exotic Training [reaction] Feat 1

Flourish Gladiator

Trigger You draw a weapon with which you are trained.

Attempt an Intimidation check to Demoralize a single creature that you can see and that can see you. If you have master proficiency with the weapon or legendary proficiency in Intimidation, you can use this as a free action with the same Trigger.

Finesse Position [one-action] Feat 1

Entertain Gladiator Stance

Requirements You are wielding one or more finesse melee weapons while in Finesse Position and entertaining.

You can add your Dexterity modifier to damage rolls instead of your Strength modifier.

If you have expert proficiency with each of your weapons, you can activate and maintain Finesse Position as part of any other stance.

Gladiatorial Weapon Training Feat 1

Gladiator

You gain the Weapon Proficiency general feat.

Special You can select this feat more than once.

Performing Combatant Feat 1

Gladiator Role

Prerequisites dancer role

You can rely on the grandeur of your performances rather than ordinary combat skills. You can use Performance instead of Athletics to Disarm, Grapple, Shove, or Trip. You can also use an acting Performance instead of Deception to Impersonate. You can use your proficiency rank in Performance to meet the Requirements of skill feats that require a particular rank in Athletics or Deception.

Power Attack [two-actions] Feat 1

Flourish Gladiator Role

Prerequisites bruiser role

You unleash a particularly powerful attack that clobbers your foe but leaves you a bit unsteady. Make a melee Strike. This counts as two attacks when calculating your multiple attack penalty. If this Strike hits, you deal an extra die of weapon damage. If you’re at least 10th level, increase this to two extra dice, and if you’re at least 18th level, increase it to three extra dice.

Shield Block Feat 1

Gladiator Role

Prerequisites watchdog role

You gain the Shield Block general feat, a reaction that lets you reduce damage with your shield.

2nd Level

Brutal Beating Feat 2

Gladiator Role

Prerequisites bruiser role

The brutality of your critical hits shakes your foes’ confidence. Whenever your Strike is a critical hit and deals damage, the target is frightened 1.

Chorbus Position [one-action] Feat 2

Gladiator Stance

While in Chorbus Position, you gain a +10-foot circumstance bonus to your Speed.

Corps-a-Corps [one-action] Feat 2

Entertain Gladiator

Frequency Once per turn

Attempt an Athletics check to Grapple, Shove, or Trip (ignoring multiple attack penalty). If you are trained in Athletics, add Disarm and any similar actions to this list.

Invitation Position [one-action] Feat 2

Gladiator Role Stance

Prerequisites watchdog role

Requirements You are not being stealthy, concealed, hidden, or undetected.

While in Invitation Position, enemies that can safely attack you but choose to attack another creature instead take a –1 circumstance penalty on their attack rolls.

Knap Position [one-action] Feat 2

Gladiator Mental Stance

Your persistent grazing strikes can make the target think you hit it when you did not.

While in Knap Position, you can make Strikes with the open and nonlethal traits and the following failure effect.

Failure The target takes half damage from the Strike. If the target succeeds on a Will save against your class DC, the target instead takes no damage and is immune to your Knap Position Strikes until you leave Knap Position.

Unbalancing Blow Feat 2

Gladiator Role

Prerequisites dancer role

Interweaving your most powerful attacks in a graceful flow, you temporarily unbalance your foes. Whenever your Strike is a critical hit and deals damage, the target is flat‑footed against your attacks until the end of your next turn.

4th Level

Attack Of Opportunity [reaction] Feat 4

Gladiator

Trigger A creature within your reach uses a manipulate action or a move action, makes a ranged attack, or leaves a square during a move action it’s using.

You swat a foe that leaves an opening. Make a melee Strike against the triggering creature. If your attack is a critical hit and the trigger was a manipulate action, you disrupt that action. This Strike doesn’t count toward your multiple attack penalty, and your multiple attack penalty doesn’t apply to this Strike.

Bloc de Bras Position [one-action] Feat 4

Gladiator Stance

Prerequisites Trained in Athletics

Requirements You are wielding only a single one-handed melee weapon and have your other hand or hands free.

While in Bloc de Bras Position, you can attempt an Athletics check to Disarm an attacker you can see as a reaction when they hit you with a melee attack. The target can’t be more than one size larger than you. On a success, you only take half damage from the attack in addition to the normal benefits of Disarming.

Calecon Position [one-action] Feat 4

Gladiator Stance

While in Calecon Position, you can Step as a reaction when an attacker you can see misses you with a melee attack.

Cautious Entertainer Feat 4

Entertain Gladiator

You no longer take a Circumstance penalty on Stealth checks while entertaining, and you gain a +1 circumstance bonus to Perception checks when using the Sense Motive basic action while entertaining.

Engagement Position [one-action] Feat 4

Gladiator Stance

While in Engagement Position, you aren’t flat-footed to hidden, undetected, or flanking creatures of your level or lower, or creatures of your level or lower using surprise attack. However, they can still help their allies flank.

6th Level

Aines Position [one-action] Feat 6

Gladiator Stance

While in Aines Position, you gain tremorsense (imprecise) out to 60 feet. Tremorsense functions only if you are on the same surface as the subject, and only if the subject is moving along (or burrowing through) the surface.

Break Automne Position [one-action] Feat 6

Entertain Gladiator Stance

Prerrequisites expert in Athletics

While in Break Automne Position and entertaining, you gain the Wall Jump skill feat. At 12th level, you are treated as a master in Athletics when using Wall Jump, or legendary if you are already a master.

Deadly Dance [one-action] to [three-actions] Feat 6

Entertain Flourish Gladiator Role

Prerequisites dancer role

You whirl about, triggering Attacks of Opportunity. Choose 1 adjacent creature (1 action), 1 creature you can move adjacent to (2 actions), or each enemy adjacent to you (3 actions). You Stride to the target if necessary, then each target must attempt a Reflex save against your class DC.

Critical Success The target is unaffected, and you are flat-footed against the target’s attacks until the start of your next turn.

Success The target takes half the damage normally dealt by your Strike.

Failure The target takes damage as if it were hit by your Strike.

Critical Failure The target takes damage as if it were critically hit by your Strike.

Donjon Position [one-action] Feat 6

Entertain Gladiator Stance

You gain one barbarian feat with the rage trait. For the purpose of meeting its Prerequisites, your barbarian level is equal to half your character level.

While entertaining in Donjon Position, you are treated as raging with a number of rounds remaining in your Rage equal to twice your Charisma modifier. If your rage would end for any reason, Entertain also ends.

Special You can select this feat more than once. Each time you select it, you gain another barbarian feat with the rage trait.

Reflexive Shield Feat 6

Gladiator Role

Prerequisites watchdog role

You can use your shield to fend off the worst of area effects and other damage. When you Raise your Shield, you gain your shield’s circumstance bonus to Reflex saves. If you have the Shield Block reaction, damage you take as a result of a Reflex save can trigger that reaction, even if the damage isn’t physical damage.

8th Level

Designate Rival [one-action] Feat 8

Entertain Gladiator

You designate a single creature as your rival. You must be able to see or hear your rival, or you must be tracking your rival during exploration.

Your multiple attack penalty for attacks against your rival is –3 (–2 with an agile weapon) on your second attack of the turn instead of –5, and –6 (–4 with an agile weapon) on your third or subsequent attack of the turn, instead of –10.

Roleplay Feat 8

Gladiator

You gain the specialization ability of another Theian gladiator role of your choice, and you are treated as having that role for the purpose of meeting feat prerequisites. If you commit acts anathema to your new role, you lose all feats and abilities requiring that role but retain your other Theian gladiator feats and abilities. You do not gain the greater or master gladiator benefits of that special ability.

Share the Popularity [one-action] Feat 8

Entertain Gladiator

Designate a number of creatures you can see that can see you up to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1) to gain all benefits, bonuses, detriments, and penalties of your Entertain ability.

10th Level

Forebearing Position [one-action] Feat 10

Gladiator Misfortune Stance

Prerequisites expert in Intimidation

Requirements You are adjacent to an enemy that you can see and that can see you.

While in Forebearing Position, you make your opponents nervous. If an enemy you are adjacent to attacks another creature before attacking you at least once on its turn, it must roll twice and use the worse result.

Knockback Feat 10

Entertain Gladiator

Requirements Your last action was a successful Strike.

The weight of your swing drives your enemy back. You push the foe back 5 feet, with the effects of a successful Shove. You can follow the foe as normal for a successful Shove.

Saboteur’s Garb Feat 10

Gladiator Role Visual

Prerequisites dancer role, expert in Crafting

Requirements You have a disguise kit.

You spend 10 minutes tying mirrors, bells, and other distracting objects to your equipment. When you are critically hit or reduced to 0 Hit Points, the Sabateur’s Garb gains the damaged condition, or is broken if damaged already.

A creature that can see your sabateur’s garb that doesn’t avert its gaze must attempt a Fortitude save against your class DC.

Critical Success The creature is unaffected.

Success The creature is dazzled until the start of its next turn.

Failure The creature is blinded until the start of its next turn.

Critical Failure The creature is blinded for 1 round.

Sleeper Hold [one-action] Feat 10

Attack Gladiator Incapacitation Role

Prerequisites bruiser role, expert in Athletics

Requirements You have a creature grabbed or restrained.

You pinch crucial points of your target’s nervous system, impeding its ability to function. Attempt an Athletics check to Grapple the creature, with the following success and critical success effects instead of the usual effects.

Critical Success The target falls unconscious for 1 minute, though it remains standing and doesn’t drop what it holds.

Success The target is clumsy 1 until the end of its next turn.

Tactical Guard Position [one-action] Feat 10

Gladiator Role Stance

Prerequisites watchdog role

Requirements You are wielding a shield.

Once you’ve had a moment to set your stance, you always have your shield ready without a thought. While you are in Tactical Guard Position, you constantly have your shield raised as if you’d used the Raise a Shield action, as long as you meet that action’s requirements.

12th Level

Partenariat Position [one-action] Feat 12

Gladiator Stance

Prerequisites Attack of Opportunity

While in Partenariat Position, your Attack of Opportunity also triggers when a creature within your reach is hit by an attack made by a creature other than you.

Shield Warden Feat 12

Entertain Gladiator Role

Prerequisites watchdog role, Shield Block

You use your shield to protect your allies as well as yourself. When you have a shield raised, you can use your Shield Block reaction when an attack is made against an ally adjacent to you. If you do, the shield prevents that ally from taking damage instead of preventing you from taking damage, following the normal rules for Shield Block.

Stance Savant [free-action] Feat 12

Gladiator

Trigger You roll initiative.

You enter a stance without a thought. Use an action that has the stance trait.

Vital Strike [three-actions] Feat 12

Flourish Gladiator Open

Stride up to your Speed and make a Strike at the end of your movement. Your Strike gains Deadly d10, Fatal d10, and if the attack succeeds, you knock the target prone.

Special If you are Entertaining, your Strike gains Deadly d12 and Fatal d12 instead.

14th Level

Awesome Blow Feat 14

Entertain Gladiator Role

Prerequisites Knockback, bruiser role

Your attacks are so powerful, they can flatten your opponents. When you use Knockback, you can attempt an Athletics check against your target’s Fortitude DC.

Critical Success You gain the critical success effect of a Shove, then the critical success effect of a Trip against the target.

Success You gain the success effect of a Shove, then the success effect of a Trip against the target.

Failure You gain the normal effect of Knockback.

Whirlwind Strike [three-actions] Feat 14

Flourish Gladiator Open Role

Prerequisites dancer role

You attack all nearby adversaries. Make a melee strike against each enemy within your melee reach. Each attack counts toward your multiple attack penalty, but do not increase your penalty until you have made all your attacks.

16th Level

Master of Many Styles [free-action] Feat 16

Gladiator

Prerequisites Stance Savant

Requirements This is the first action of your turn.

You move between stances in an unceasing dance. You use an action with the stance trait.

Improved Reflexive Shield Feat 16

Gladiator Role

Prerequisites Reflexive Shield, watchdog role

Your shield can help save nearby allies. When you use Shield Block against damage resulting from a Reflex save, adjacent allies who would take damage due to Reflex saves against the same effect also benefit from the damage reduction.

18th Level

Entertaining Critical Feat 18

Entertain Gladiator

The wounds you inflict on behalf of your fans are greatly exaggerated. When you Strike with a weapon or unarmed attack for which you have master proficiency, you critically succeed if you roll a 19 on the die as long as that result is a success. This has no effect on a 19 if the result would be a failure.

Improved Shield Warden Feat 18

Entertain Gladiator Role

Prerequisites watchdog role, Shield Warden

You protect an ally with both your shield and your body. Whenever you use the Shield Block reaction to prevent damage to an ally, you can evenly split the remaining damage after the Shield Block between the ally and yourself.

Instant Opening [one-action] Feat 18

Concentrate Entertain Gladiator Role

Prerequisites dancer role

You distract your opponent with a few choice words or a rude gesture. Choose a target within 30 feet. It’s flat-footed against your attacks until the end of your next turn. Depending on the way you describe your distraction, this action gains either the auditory or visual trait.

Shattering Strike [two-actions] Feat 18

Entertain Flourish Gladiator Role

Prerequisites bruiser role

The roar of the crowd through your sensor makes you swing that much harder. Make a Strike. It bypasses the target’s resistances. If the target has Hardness, the Strike treats the Hardness as if it were half its value.

20th Level

Cliffhanger [reaction] Feat 20

Concentrate Entertain Fortune Gladiator

Trigger You fail or critically fail an attack roll or saving throw.

You throw everything into a last ditch effort for your adoring fans to ensure that your blow lands or you survive to fight another day. Reroll the triggering attack roll or saving throw with a +2 circumstance bonus, use the better result, and resolve the effect. You then immediately stop Entertaining.

Diamond Breaker Feat 20

Entertain Gladiator Role

Prerequisites bruiser role

When you target the same creature with two or more Strikes in a turn, your Strikes gain the forceful trait. Any that already had this trait instead increase their weapon damage dice by one step.

Improved Vital Strike Feat 20

Gladiator

Prerequisites Vital Strike

When you use Vital Strike, increase the damage by one damage die, and your Strike gains the following failure effect.

Failure The creature takes 2d10 damage of the same type as your Strike, or 2d12 damage if you are Entertaining.

Reflexive Stances Feat 20

Gladiator

Prerequisites Master of Many Styles

You weave your stances together with such fluidity, you can change between them at a moment’s notice. At the start of each of your turns, you gain an additional reaction you can use only to enter a one-action stance.
